Global City Holding is the greatest shareholder of the second largest cinema network in Europe – Cineworld. In Mszczonów, which is located 60 kilometers from Warsaw near A2 highway, the organization is going to build a large Park of Poland amusement park, which will measure its strength against Italian Gardaland or Europa-Park in Germany.
Gazeta Wyborcza reminds that we have been informed on a conference in May that the partnership will request a building permit in November 2014, the works will start in 2015, and the opening will take place in October 2016. The failure to comply with the time limits was replaced with a new schedule: We are planning to request a building permit in the second quarter of 2015 and we envisage that the construction works may start in the third quarter of 2015. The opening of the aquapark is planned at the end of the fourth quarter of 2016 – says Peter Dudoleński, CEO in Global City Holdings, to Polish Press Agency.
The prepared project has been divided into stages. Primarily, the aquapark resembling a huge glasshouse filled with swimming pools, water slides, saunas and bars will be built on 20 ha. Furthermore, hotels and summer houses will arise next to it. The strategic partner of the investment is German WUND Industriebau group which has already built four aquaparks in Germany.
It is worth reminding that Michael Jackson has been planning a building of Rodzinny Park Rozrywki in Warsaw Bemowo district in the 90s. Moreover, the singer and President of Warsaw in those days, that is Marcin Święcicki, signed the first letter of intent in this matter in 1997.
