Swiss Insurance Group – Zurich Insurance Group – is going to open a financial shared services center in the capital of Little Poland. According to the Financial Director of the Group, George Quinn, the company decided to open its center in Cracow due to very well-developed market of shared services in the city. A significant asses of the capital of Little Poland is also the access to talented employees.
160 experts in accounting, financial reporting, processes of financial planning and management of financial data will find a job in the Cracow shared services center of Zurich Insurance Group. As George Quinn emphasizes, the center will play a crucial role in financial operations of Zurich Insurance Group – the added value of all financial operations of the Group will be created in that place.
Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) is a multi-segment insurance company, which operates in more than 170 countries. Over 55 thousand people work in its departments. Clients of the company are both natural persons as well as small, medium and big enterprises, including international corporations. Zurich Insurance Group was founded in 1872 in Zurich, where its main headquarters is located.
Cracow is a crucial center on the map of companies from the industry of services for business – not only in Poland but also in Europe. It is confirmed by the fact that the capital of Little Poland has been on the 9th place in the prestigious ranking Tholons Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations for three years. The ranking analyses the best locations of the BPO industry in the world. Cracow was awarded the highest position among both Polish and European cities in the ranking from January 2016.
