A white elevation of the OVO Wrocław building is made from Corian and it is ready in 94 per cent. As a target, the area amounting to 5500 sq. m will be covered with this material. Moreover, works at montage of so called sail – a shelter highlighting a rounded shape of OVO – are currently being conducted. At present, most works at realization of the investment consist in finishing of interiors, that is rooms of a five-star hotel DoubleTree by Hilton as well as apartments and offices.
The luminaires – so called volcanoes which are lamps with a rounded shape referring to a volcano mountain – are being mounted in the restaurant and dancing-hall located on the ground floor. At the same time works are being conducted on higher floors, e.g. wallpapers and floor coverings are being performed and doors are being mounted in rooms of DoubleTree by Hilton. Furthermore, floor and daub works are being continued on the fourth floor which is intended for apartments. Doors are also mounted there. The montage of woodwork is being conducted on apartment floors and the montage of aluminum internal metalwork is being conducted in the office part – says Paweł Laszecki, engineer of the OVO Wrocław project. At present, 420 people are working at the construction site.
The general contractor is Eiffage Poland Budownictwo SA which is conducting works at OVO Wrocław in so called design & building system. It means that an executive project is being devised at the same time as construction works, however, it properly exceeds the building. The construction works are being performed in accordance with the schedule which envisages that OVO Wrocław will be commissioned in 2016.
