Beata Górszczyk, a press secretary of the Regional Court, informs that: a new building for Criminal Justice Departments of Regional Court and District Courts will favor an effective performance of judiciary in the Cracow district including modern local solutions providing high quality and safety.
A 9-tier and modern structure which uses energy from renewable sources will be located in the complex of current buildings belonging to Cracow courts at Przy Rondzie 7 Street. The area of the building will total 11 096,96 sq. m. There will be also 32 courtrooms located in the structure, including one with the area of 272 sq. m with the possibility of judging 30-35 defendants at the same time – mainly members of organized criminal groups. Moreover, Criminal Justice Departments of Regional Court and District Courts in Cracow will be working in a new edifice.
The author of an architectural project is Biuro Architekt Kaczmarczyk from Sucha Beskidzka. Furthermore, ROSA-BUD SA, a company from Radom chosen by way of a nonlimited tender, is responsible for general contracting. The works completion deadline is planned on the second quarter of 2018.
The new building for penal units is a necessity dictated by the reasons of safety, resulting from the need to isolate potential criminals from other interested parties. The concentration of all criminal justice departments in one building, which were placed within the whole city before, will considerably facilitate the access to the Court to all interested parties. The increase in number of courtrooms, in turn, will contribute to a quicker termination of many criminal cases – informs Beata Górszczyk.
