Roadworks conducted by Skanska have been ongoing since mid-July but now they have entered the most important phase, i.e. surface works. Reconstruction of Kapelanka Street is due to an office building which is being built there.
Skanska carries out the reconstruction of a 250 meters long section of the street, from the crossroads with Kobierzyńska Street to the junction with Ceglarska Street. That is where a lane leading to the office building at Kapelanka Street 42 will be created. We will conduct the works in such a way so that they would affect the users of the roads as little as possible – says Grzegorz Pelc, Site Manager at Skanska. Thus we are starting paving works at Kapelanka Street on Saturday. Some of the works will be carried out at night.
The investor wants to ensure that the drivers will be able to drive through Kapelanka Street during the construction works. We will narrow down the street to one lane only when it is necessary, for example to mill the old surface and to apply the new one – explains Grzegorz Pelc. The surface of the road will be changed during the construction works. The works will last until the end of August.
Kapelanka 42 office complex, a part of which is the current road reconstruction, will comprise of two office buildings of total space amounting to 30 000 square meters. The investor, Skanska Property Poland, schedules the works to be completed at the turn of the second and third quarter of 2014. The project is carried out according to the requirements of LEED environmental certification. Kapelanka 42 has already received Gold precertification.
