A new office of the world leader of the financial industry – State Street – was ceremonially opened in the Gdańsk Alchemia complex on 22nd March. We have hired 200 people in Gdańsk within only several months, and we are planning to reach the level of 600 employees by the end of the year. The development of our new office is extremely dynamic, which confirms that the choice of this location was a very good decision. However, our plans related to development in Gdańsk are much more serious – we envisage employment of more than 1200 people within the nearest 2-3 years – Scott Newman, Managing Director of State Street Bank Poland, says.
We are very glad that State Street, which is currently the biggest tenant of Alchemia, is developing so dynamically. It shows huge potential of the agglomeration mainly in the area of availability of qualified employees on the market. It is also not without a meaning that the quality of life in Tricity is arousing more and more interest among both employees ready for relocation and investors – says Maciej Brożek, Proxy for Development of Torus, which is a developer of Alchemia.
A new office of the company is in the second stage of the multifunctional investment Alchemia. It occupies more than 14 000 sq. m of office area – the whole Titanium tower. The office premises owned by State Street have many facilitations for employees such as internal canteen (office restaurant), relaxation zone with table football and other team games.
Alchemia is a multifunctional business complex, which is being realized in Gdańsk. The first stage of this project was commissioned in 2012 and it delivered 16 700 sq. m of office space to the market. A recreation and sport center with swimming pools, saunas, fitness club and sport hall operate there. The second stage offering 22 000 sq. m is composed of two office towers (Ferrum and Titanium) located on the common four-tier base. The realization of the second stage started in December 2013 and its ceremonial opening was held in October 2015. The structure is occupied by such companies as State Street, Wipro IT Services and Alexander Mann Solutions. At present, works at realization of the second stage of the complex, which is to offer nearly 36 000 sq. m of office space and nearly 3000 sq. m of space dedicated to associated services, are currently being conducted. The completion of the building is planned on the third quarter of 2017. The designer of the whole Alchemia complex is APA Wojciechowski Architekci studio from Warsaw.
