The light installation prepared by Moscow architects from Svechenie studio on the premiere of the last part of a film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson – „The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies", represents an omniscient Eye – a symbol of engulfing evil and power of Sauron, the main representative of a dark army.
In the novel, the Eye of Sauron was expecting enemies coming to the Black Country. Therefore, the oppositional to Russian power narrators point out the present political context while writing about Moscow installation. Meanwhile, architects responsible for the project convince that this illumination is supposed to pay homage to the work of John R.R. Tolkien.
The giant light installation will shine on 11th December at 6 p.m. and it will last till 3 a.m. of the following day.
