Life Science Park in Kraków is a complex comprising of two buildings of the space of altogether 15 200 sqm. It is situated in Kraków Special Economic Zone, at Bobrzyńskiego Street. The cost of the investment amounted to PLN 64 million. The general contractor was a consortium of Mostostal Warszawa S.A. and Acciona Infraestructuras S.A., which commissioned TÜV Rheinland Polska Sp. z o.o. to supervise the quality of construction and installation works. The complex's investor is Jagiellonian Centre of Innovation Ltd.
The spaces in Jagiellonian Technology Park and Incubator are expected to be occupied by international companies such as Life Science. The remaining buildings offer spaces designated chiefly for laboratories and high standard offices.
In order to guarantee the high quality of the complex, the third party was employed. Inspection reports, regularly delivered to the mandator, aimed at eliminating possible faults – says Gabriel Ligęska, Power and Civil Engineering Industry Division Manager in TÜV Rheinland Poland. Documentation inspections and visits of independent experts in the construction site began in July 2011, and ended two years later. Final raport was favourable, due to which the buildings obtained International Quality Certificate, in accordance with BQS standard (Building Quality Supervision), developed by TÜV Rheinland.
Inspection carried out by company's experts aims at eliminating potental construction faults on the early phase of construction, as well as providing high quality of construction works. The certificate obtained in BQS is to guarantee that the real estate will retain its quality and worth in a long-term perspective.
