The investment Port Gate in the centre of Szczecin will be ready-made on 8 November 2012, it consists of two independent buildings: Port Gate I and Port Gate II. SwedeCentre which belongs to Property Division Group Inter IKEA is an investor and developer of the investment. A general contractor was Hochtief Polska and T33 from Gdynia dealt with an architectural project.
Complex consists of two buildings. Port Gate I has six tiers with a total space of 4 500 sqm. Port Gate II is a seven-tiered office with a total space of 8000 sqm. Commercial complexes are on the ground floor, the rest is set for offices.
Investment was finalized with an usage of environmentally-friendly solutions, due to it as the first commercial project in Szczecin can strive for LEED certification. Modern solutions were employed during the building i.a. saving water and energy, access to light, recycling and roofing. Location enables an easy access to the town centre.
We're glad that due to many people's effort the new buildings were finalized and will blend with the landscape and determine city's character. The city will gain almost 13 000sqm of modern office and retail space after the opening of Port Gate. It is a new and comfortable work place for many citizens of Szczecin. I believe that the presence of modern offices, both Port Gate and new building offices, will encourage the companies to establish their businesses in Szczecin. It's a huge chance for city's development - said Roger Andersson, Managing Director SwedeCenter.
