BNP Paribas Real Estate has published good data pertaining to transactions related to investment management. Throughout the first six months of this year, the total value of transactions reached over 675 million Euro. Over a half ( 401 million Euro) concerned office properties, which made up 59% of all deals.
- First half of 2012 was marked by a high activity in all countries. We're particularily pleased, that we've managed to conclude our first deal in Germany and mantain balance between our two main investment lanes: management of funds and assets of institutional clients - said David Aubin, Head of Investment Management in BNP Paribas Real Estate.
- We'd like to emphasise, that while two-third of deals have been concentrated in our main area of activity, over a third of them involved purchase of a property in order to perform restructuring meant to improve the structures worth, and then selling it - adds Karl Delattre, CEO at BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Solutions and Asset Partner.
When it comes to worth of goods acquired during the period from january till june under Investment Management lane BNP Paribas Real Estate had been managing assets with a total value of 13 billion Euro, which places the company on fourth place among the largest global investors.
