Office complex Adgar is a modern business centre in Warsaw's Mokotów. It consists of an office building Adgar Business Centre and two buildings Adgar Plaza A and B, offering a total rent space of 39 000 m2. In order to confirm by independent experts that the building is environmentally friendly, Adgar Postępu company applied for a LEED certificate in „existing buildings” cathegory.
Under the certification process the building will be subjected to Green Building Certification Institute experts' evaluation. To increase his chances, the manager does not deny the possibility of introducing changes in building's operation, which will require cooperation from it's tenants. Listed amongst the potential changes are introducing a policy of responsible purchases and choosing more ecological products like energy-efficient light bulbs or biodegradable cleaning products, segregation of waste as well as switching to public transport or a bicycle, which becomes more popular among the commuters.
- What distinguishes Adgar office complex are friendly, aesthetic and motivating conditions favoring efficient work. We offer a lot more than simply office area at our lessees' disposal. On the complex's grounds there is a conference centre, sport-recreational club, cafe and reastaurant, highest security standard server room and even a kindergarten. We decided to apply for LEED certificate, because we believe that it will benefit not only our environment but also our lessees in the form of frugality, more healthy work conditions enhancing the employees' effectiveness, as well as satisfaction of doing something meanigful for all of us – says Eyal Litwin, vicepresident of Adgar Investments & Development Ltd.
It's worth mentioning that so far only 36 buildings in Europe – amongst which only one in Poland (Rondo 1)- recieved LEED certificate in existing buildings cathegory.
