Frontex - European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union will be the first leaseholder in the modern complex Warsaw Spire, executed by Ghelamco. Agency leased 14 600sqm in a building B. The contract was signed on 10 years.
It will have it central office in Warsaw Spire Agency. Frontex deals with the actions in favour of integrated management of external borders of European Union. It was established in 2004 and it has been supervising operational work of Border Guard of EU's countries. It develops also education system for border guards and invests in research over new technologies which can be used during a border control.
Warsaw Spire consists of a tower building with a height of 220 metres and 55 metres high adjoining offices (B and C). Complex offers about 100 000sqm of modern office space. Project fulfils demands of BREEAM certification. The building is situated in a quarter of Grzybowska, Łucka, Towarowa and Wronia Street, in a close vicinity of II line of subway, in the capital's city centre. Building received an award Wybitny Projekt Architektoniczny 2011 (English: Prominent Architectonic Project) in Poland during Eurobuild Awards.
Building of Warsaw Spire has started in 2011. Frontex will start readiness of office in September 2014.
Ghelamco has been running on the market as developer and a general contractor of modern office and storage spaces for 21 years. The company put into use over 400 000sqm of commercial space.
