American company – Quad/Graphics – is going to open a new Shared Services Center in Poland. It will be located in the Olivia Business Center complex in Gdańsk. 100 graphic designers and IT programmers will find job in the office situated in Olivia Four. The company is a global deliverer of printing services for editors of magazines, catalogues and advertisement materials. In their Polish branches work more than 1700 employees.
Gdańsk is another city – after Piła and Wyszków – where Quad/Graphics is opening its Shared Services Center. People working in the office in Gdańsk will perform a broad range of graphic and IT works for American contractors. We managed to prove that the substantial knowledge and language skills of our employees are at such a level that guarantees efficient providing such services. We have been successively conducting our offshore activity in two other locations and we are planning their constant development – Jakub Dyląg, Managing Director of Quad/Graphics Europe, says.
One of the factors that encouraged the company to open a new office in Gdańsk is educational offer of the city and willingness to cooperate with representatives of local universities and upper secondary schools. We believe that dynamically developing Tricity is an attractive place for business – Jakub Dyląg says. We count on fruitful cooperation with local schools such as Academy of Fine Arts or Gdańsk University of Technology, which educate their students in fields that are desired by our company and which will allow to select a lot of young talents – Dyląg adds.
Shared Services Center offering graphic processes is a novelty in Tricity and certainly one of not so many projects across Poland. The location of Quad Graphics in our region creates incredible opportunities to work in the creative industry which is to be developed by us – Mieczysław Struk, Marshall of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, says.
Quad/Graphics has a headquarters in the United States and the company hires about 22 thousand employees in more than 50 factory units situated in Northern America, Southern America and Europe.
Olivia Four is a 11-floor office class A which was realized within the fourth stage of Oliva Business Center. The structure offers more than 14 700 sq. m of office space for rent. The group of tenants of the building commissioned in 2014 includes such companies as Acxiom, Allianz, Alnet Systems, Atos, Competence Call Center, Epam Systems, Generali, HK Finance, LOTOS-Air BP, Moore Stephens, Omida Logistics, Playsoft or Schibsted Tech Poland. Moreover, there is also a place for start-ups as well as small and medium enterprises in Olivia Four. The ground floor, first and second floors of the building were intended for zone of developing O4 innovations combining multimedia conference center, office zones of different size, co-working zone with desks for rent for hours and social part.
