A plot located in the vicinity of Zwycięstwa Square was taken over by the public treasury in November 2014, whereas the District Court in Toruń became its new permanent manager by virtue of a decision from February 2015. We have been talking about building a new structure for the District Court in Toruń for many years. It is a perfect moment to make a decision about starting that investment – informed Grzegorz Karpiński, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, on 27th April in the Office for the Capital City of Toruń. – The overview of finances of the Justice Minister allowed to make certain decisions – added Karpiński.
The new edifice will offer at least 11 000 sq. m. Moreover, it will hold all departments and agendas of the District Court in Toruń which have been scattered so far. Jerzy Kozdroń, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, ensured that the first means intended for that investment will be launched in 2015. We declare readiness to cooperate with investor – that is the District Court. We also offer assistance in the area of running an investment process, including the competitive one, which will select a designer. As a city, we are ready to be partners, to support and to cooperate – said the president of Toruń Michał Zaleski.
The proceeding concerning termination of the lease agreement of several hundred meters fragment of the plot is still being continued as well as the procedure of dislocation of the Monument of Polish Artillerymen which is going to be replaced from Zwycięstwa Square to the green square at Toruń Lovers’ Association Square. The first planned date of the structure’s commission is the year 2018. However, the date may be changed depending on decisions concerning tenders, designing and obtaining decisions and permits.
