The Incubator – Technology Centre started its activity in February at Fabryczna Street on the area of the Business Engine. Therefore, 60 young companies will be able to benefit from over 2 000 sq. m of space. The main aim of the Incubator is to create conditions in order to build new and develop existing small and medium companies. One of the facilities which are offered by the Incubator to businesses under its wings is decrease or total reduction of costs related to letting of their offices and contributions paid to the Social Insurance Institution.
Except from financial issues, all Incubators most of all give opportunity of exchanging experience and cooperation between debuting entrepreneurs. New conceptions often result from creative interactions, which are then developed into real products and services present on the market.
Before the Incubator – Technology Centre was founded, the Lower Silesian Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator has been functioning for 8 years in Wrocław Technology Park giving support to over 100 companies. Most of them are now reputable entrepreneurs who function on Polish and foreign markets. The Lower Silesian Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator won in the international competition for the best science incubator in the category of return from public investments in 2013. At present, its activity is based on the experience of a senior colleague.
All companies which want to develop under the Incubator wings have an easy access to 10 specialized laboratories, advice, workshops concerning running own business, and also conference halls, kitchen facilities and room intended for relaxation. The price of letting one sq. m totals only 20 zlotys per month for the first year.
The total cost of the investment amounted to ca. 11 million zlotys. The funds were provided from the state budget within the Regional Operational Program for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the European Regional Development Fund.
