The company Skanska started the preparatory work on the construction of Green Day in May 2012, construction works started in July, and the construction was completed in February 2014. The building is located on Szczytnicka Street in Wrocław, and the offices there are already completely rented. Five months before the completion of construction works, the office block was sold to the fund Investec GLL Global Special Opportunities Real Estate Fund, managed by Investec Bank PLC and GLL Real Estate Partners GmbH.
Green Day offers a total of 15 930 sq. m, 14 500 sq. m of which are offices. The entire office space was rented by the company Credit Suisse Center of Excellence. In the service and commercial space, the canteen Chief’s and coffee house So! Coffee and the shop 1 Minute will be opened. Currently, finishing works in the rented space are nearing completion. The building has already been given the pre-certificate in the ecological system LEED with the assessment Gold and currently undergoes the final certification.
Green Day is a big business success – we have rented the entire office space to Credit Suisse and sold the building to the investment fund five months before the end of construction works, commented Katarzyna Zawodna, the President of Skanska Property Poland. Wrocław grows to be an important investment market in the real estate sector and I believe that the projects by Skanska contribute to it. We are very glad about it, because we look at Wrocław in terms of new developer investments, she added.
Green Day is the third office project of Skanska Property Poland in the capital of Lower Silesia. Recently, the company put into use the Grunwaldzki Center on Reagan Roundabout (sold to the RREEF fund) and two Green Tower buildings on Strzegomska Street (sold to PZU). Currently, the construction of the office block Dominikański is in progress. It offers about 40 000 sq. m, and the first tenant is Deloitte.
