ECO Golden LEED for the SwedeCenter project in Warsaw

The office project Business Garden in Warsaw received the LEED certificate on the Gold level.

Belonging to the SwedeCenter, office park Business Garden in Warsaw is the fourth project of the developer who was awarded the LEED Gold certificate within the last twelve months.

The certificate, in addition to pre-certificates received by the projects in Poznań and Wrocław, confirms that the idea of green business parks, the Business Garden, made by our company, is based on the rules of well-balanced construction, commented Roger Andersson, the Managing Director of the SwedeCenter.

Warsaw Business Garden is characterized by a number of pro-ecological technologies and solutions which allow to reduce the costs of electricity and water. In the buildings, there are, among others, low-energy lighting, silent ventilation and cooling system, based on the cooling beams and free-cooling system. The roofs of the office blocks, in order to avoid the so called heat islands, are covered with greenery, and rain water is used to irrigate the green areas. What is more, local raw material was used for the project (which reduced the exhaust fumes emission during transport), and 65% of the construction waste was recycled.

We have made every effort and implemented many modern technical solutions, which not only contribute to the reduction in the cost of maintaining the office space, but - what is more important - increase the work comfort of our tenants, said David Petterson, Development Director, who coordinates works connected to the certification.

Business Garden is located on Żwirki and Wigury Street in Warsaw. Ultimately, the complex will consist of seven buildings with a total area of 90 000 sq.m. The project of the investment was created in the studio of JSK Architekci. SwedeCenter, the company belonging to the Inter IKEA Group, is the owner and at the same time manager of Business Garden.
