Schindler Polska, together with Stowarzyszenie Architektów Polskich, have created a competition for an architectural – construction concept of a new office building and the modernization of the current seat of the company by Postępu 12a St. in Warsaw. 25 companies took part in the competition and the project made by Bartłomiej Grotte has won. The winner of the first stage has been given an award of 25 000 zlotys.
Apart from Grotte Art, the companies on the 2nd and 3rd place, along with authors of other awarded projects, have been invited to the second stage of the competition. Among these companies are: Hermanowicz Reski Architekci, 90 Architekci Czarnecki Wilmann, Bulanda Mucha Architekci and Nizio Design International. Each of them has received financial awards. Grotte Art has won the first stage of the competition, but the final project will be selected after the 2nd stage, which will have the form of negotiations with each of the 5 laureates.
Andrzej Jeż, board member in Schindler Polska, said, that the designed buildings are all comfortable for employees and guests and environmental – friendly. The organizers of the competition have set a requirement, stating that the projects should meet the requirements connected with receiving of the Swiss energy saving certificate ‘Minergie-P’.
