The office block Senator and the Mokotów Nova complex in Warsaw have been awarded the BREEAM certificate. Developed by Ghelamco, the investments received enough points to be assessed as "Very Good". The investor can now boast five certified office buildings.
The projects successfully went through all stages of the certification procedure in the post construction system and received an official confirmation for the ecological and low-energy solutions introduced in the buildings.
BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assesment Method) is a British environmental assessment method and rating system for buildings. Apart from the American LEED, it is the world's foremost system of this kind.
Senator is located on 12 Bielańskiej Street in Warsaw. It offers 25.000 sqM of stylised, modern office space. The building was made available in July 2012.
The Mokotów Nova complex, located on Wołoska Street, is one of the largest office complexes in this part of Warsaw. The investment provided the real estate market with a total of 40.000 sqM of class "A" space.
Both investments participate in the GreenBuilding Programme initiated by the European Commission.
Among Ghelamco's certified buildings there are also: Trinity Park III, Crown Square and Katowice Business Point, which were granted the certificate in the years 2010-2011. Ghelamco was the first Polish developer to receive the BREEAM certificate for an office building. All of the company's green investments were rated "Very Good”.
