A recent contest called ‘Masz pomysl? Masz biznes!’ (eng. ‘Do you have an idea? So you have a business!’) has been talked about quite a lot lately. It was meant for innovative businessmen and the 1st prize was an office worth 15 000 PLN in Malopolski Park Technologii Informacyjnych that is currently being built. The jury for the contest consisted of: Krzysztof Krzysztofiak – the Director of Technological Park Development Department, Ryszard Chmura – CEO of PromoAgency, dr Piotr Bula – the headmasted of Malopolska Szkola Biznesu Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego and the director of Regionalny BNI Malopolska and Wojciech Kmiecik – the member of Marketing and PR Department board in Astor. The results of the contest have been announced on 26th of April in Nowa Aula Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego.
The project is prepared brilliantly. Investo.pl is the only company whose idea could be adapted on foreign markets – emphasized Krzysztof Krzysztofiak, jury member.
Krakowski Park Technologiczny, the initiator of the event and Malopolskie Studenckie Forum Business Centre Club are the organizers of the event. The contest took just two days (25th -26th of April) during which the contestants were to prepare a business plan and a description of their projects.
Space for developing business is being created in MPTI – the offices that are built here are an interesting alternative for the companies which have begun their activity in Inkubator Technologiczny and need more space now. The park is supposed to be a place where important businessmen meet start-ups, science laboratories and local government institutions. In the end it will be a cluster focusing companies from ICT sector.
MPTI is going to be the most modern IT park in Poland. The building will be equipped with the state of the art teletechnical systems, training rooms allowing conducting teleconferences and e-learning, and 8-10 laboratories.
The investment is being built in Pychowice where you can also find a constantly growing campus of Jagiellonian University and a New Economy Centre. This location has already been chosen by organizations such as Onet, Motorola and Siemens. World brands which function in MPTI will provide know how and equip laboratories to which innovative and creative businessmen will have access. It is a unique opportunity for them to study using very expansive and rare equipment.
The project is currently being built now and first companies will be able to move in there in a year time. The building accommodates 12 000 sq. meters of space including 8000 sq. meters of A class offices. This year the city is going to build infrastructure around the park.
We recommend watching an interesting movie about MPTI which was published on 20th of April 2012 on KPT Television: tv.kpt.krakow.pl
