The ceremony of lighting lamps on the Christmas tree was combined with the official part, during which Erol Milo and Ewa Kowalska from STRABAG Real Estate presented plans concerning the realization of ASTORIA building. Moreover, they thanked gathered guests, including inhabitants, for the visiting. The atmosphere was warmed up by hot drinks, cookies and Christmas music.
There was also a fund-raiser during the celebration which was intended for support of „Omnibus” Foundations charges – talented children from indigent families. The developer decided to double the amount gathered during the collection of money.
ASTORIA building will offer 28 000 sq. m of total space (17 600 sq. m of offices and 1400 sq. of commercial area) in the very heart of the capital, between business center and the Old Town. The works on realization of the project, the general contractor of which is STRABAG Sp. z o.o., have already started. SRE is realizing the investment in accordance with the rules of balanced development and requirements of LEED certification on Gold level.
At the end of the 1980s, STRABAG Group realized a project of the building of hotel and office complex as well as LIM Center convention center in Warsaw within joint venture, which allowed the Group to enter the Polish construction market. ASTORIA is the first own project of SRE which is being realized in Poland.
