Until now, only eight office investments in Poland, apart from the second stage of Park Rozwoju, were given the BREEAM certificate with the assessment Excellent. The office block achieved a result of 72.9 percent, thanks to which it gained the second highest assessment in the certification process. BREEAM Interim assesses the design stage of an investment.
The following factors were taken into consideration, among others, energy efficiency of the building, materials used, healthy work environment, as well as waste management. Also the building of the first stage of Park Rozwoju, put into use in the first quarter of this year, was issued the BREEAM Interim certificate (with the assessment Very Good).
Such a high evaluation of Park Rozwoju is for us the reason for great joy. The certification is no longer only a new method of designing. It has become a common ground with the users of our building, who - just like we do - expect really good office projects, commented Igor Grabiwoda, the director of the Team of Architects of the Office and Hotel Department in Echo Investment. The company WSP Enviro is responsible for the certification process.
The company Echo Investment has in its portfolio seven buildings, which have been awarded the BREEAM certificates: two buildings of Park Rozwoju in Warsaw, Aquarius Business House in Wrocław, the first stage of A4 Business Park in Katowice, Oxygen in Szczecin (two certificates BREEAM In-Use Building Management and Asset Rating), as well as Galeria Amber in Kalisz and CHR Galaxy in Szczecin.
Park Rozwoju is located on Konstruktorska 10 Street in Warsaw. It consists of two buildings joined by a connector, where a restaurant is located. In total, the investment will offer 32 000 sq. m, two-storey underground car park and a car park above ground. Park Rozwoju was designed by the studio JEMS Architekci. The second stage of the investment is to be completed in the second quarter of 2015.
