PKP S.A. company will again develop the plot at Towarowa Street 1 in Warsaw. It is the area of the former Warsaw Main Railway station and the adjacent lands. The property is situated in the centre of Warsaw, in close proximity to Warsaw Central station.
PKP S.A.’s counselor has become Cushman & Wakefield company, which will support the company in defining a plan for using this property.
The plot with the space of about 10 ha is situated in a very attractive location in downtown Warsaw. The area may be developed for constructing various commercial properties, including office, business and residential buildings – comments Izabela Mucha, the Head of Valuation and Advisory, Cushman & Wakefield.
The strategy adopted by the Board of PKP S.A. assumes a substantial improvement in managing properties. The area around Warsaw Central station has a huge potential, which was not made use of till now. It’s high time to change it – said Piotr Ciżkowicz, the board member.
PKP S.A. has already cooperated with Cushman & Wakefield, inter alia during commercial development of Katowice Osobowa Station, and during organization of tender concerning selling PKP’s land, located at Chmielna and Aleja Jana Pawła II intersection in Warsaw. The property was sold in the end of 2011 for PLN 171 million.
