The Little Poland Economic Award Gala was held during Annual Business in Little Poland Meeting on 22nd October this year. The awards are granted to the best companies from the Little Poland Voivodship. The statutes of this year's edition were handed by marshal Marek Sowa and former president of RP – Bronisław Komorowski who received the special prize.
The laureates of the award were selected by the Little Poland Economic Board, that is experts and representatives of the business world and professors of the biggest universities in the region. The Little Poland Economic Award 2015 was granted in three categories – small, medium and big entrepreneur. In this year's edition, 40 companies were applying for the title of the winner.
A company from Nowosądeck Newag SA won in the category of a big entrepreneur. It functions in the area of production and modernization of burning and electric railway engines. Moreover, it designs energy-electric equipment of railway vehicles, systems of steering and structures of powering of railway vehicles.
The highest position in the category of a medium entrepreneur was presented to the Laboratory of Natural Cosmetics Farmona Sp. z o.o. The company decided to implement standards of Good Production Practice as the first one in the Polish cosmetic industry. The standards confirm high quality, cleanness of used primary products and components of a finished product.
Elektrical – Zakład Elekroinstalacyjny Usługi Budowlane Wilhelm Mrożek won in the category of a small entrepreneur. The company has been present in the electric industry for over 40 years. It conducted works e.g. at the building of Warsaw Financial Center (32 floors) and Warsaw Trade Tower.
The Little Poland Economic Award has been granted since 2009. It promotes the best entrepreneurs in the region, their pro-investment approach as well as achievements in the area of innovations.
This year's meeting of Annual Business in Little Poland Meeting was held under the mission statement „Little Poland – European Region of Entrepreneurship”. It is one of the most important meetings in the region, during which all representatives of the politics, science and business world meet together.
