Responsible Business Forum (Forum Odpowiedzialnego Biznesu) calls for applications for the annual Report “Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices”. An example of good practices may be a voluntary work programme, creation of the code of ethics, initiating periodic training for employees, or introducing pro-environmental solutions in the office.
" “Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices” is the most important annual report promoting responsible approach to business. Presenting over 400 examples of good practices, it provides inspiration for those companies that still need to implement CSR in their enterprises. But it is also a handbook for the conscious consumers who want to learn more about the origin of a product or service. Moreover, it serves as a source of information for the employees who want to learn what a potential employer has to offer, but also for the residents who want to know what are the neighbouring company's ways of preventing negative effects on the environment," says Mirella Panek-Owsianka, president of the Responsible Business Forum.
Good practices must concern one of the core subjects of the ISO 26000 norm: organisational governance, labour practices, human rights, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, community involvement and development.
The applications will be verified by the Content Committee which will take into account a range of factors such as: consistency of the practices with the company's mission; innovative character of the newly-implemented practices in relation to the old ones and to the ones used by other companies; creation of mutual benefits for both company and stakeholders; and the effectiveness of the practices in terms of economy, ecology, and social matters.
Each company that introduced CSR strategy in 2013 is eligible for the Report. The registration will be open from 9th of December 2013 until 9th of January 2014 via the web-page raport2013.odpowiedzialnybiznes.pl. The publication in the report is free of charge.
Also, the companies whose practices have been already published in the last year's report may send applications provided that they kept realizing their good practices throughout the year 2013. Their examples will be presented as long-standing practices.
This year's publication will be the 12th edition of the report which sums up the involvement of Polish companies in the implementation of the responsible business strategies.
The publication will be shown during CSR Fairs on the 1st of April 2014.
