An interesting initiative of Dorbud and Foundation is a cycle of artistic events called “Art in Public Space,” which consists in introducing exterior expositions of modern pieces of art to the public space in Kielce. This cycle was inaugurated in 2009. A chosen artist creates a new installation every year which then is presented on Plac Artystów (Art on the Square) in Kielce, where it is available for both the inhabitants and the tourists. Another exhibition within “Art in Public Space” is planned on 14 September this year.
It is also worth mentioning an authorial project of the company, that is the artistic calendar, which uses works of Polish talented artists of young and middle generation. Its main goal is promotion of the most interesting phenomena of modern art. Every year there are different achievements presented within the artistic calendar. The list of foregoing artists who have already presented their collections for Dorbud are: Radek Szlaga, Maurycy Gomulicki, Grzegorz Drozd, Grupa Kaliska, Jakub Ciężki, Kuba Bąkowski and Ignacy Czwartos.
Dorbud and Foundation support other artistic initiatives, for instance, they co-organized an exhibition presenting the installation of Leon Tarasewicz and they supported the artistic installation made by Ludwika Ogorzelec “Napięcie intelektualne” (“Intellectual Tension”) in cooperation with the National Museum in Krakow.
The Warsaw complex – Bobrowiecka – or Stacja Biznesu in Kielce are the examples of buildings whose investors are engaged in different actions promoting art. These are also buildings in the interiors where there are plenty of works. Moreover, there are more such places on the Polish map and their number is still increasing. The role of artistic works in work places is therefore very important. They make office space more attractive by supporting creative thinking, constituting inspiration and allowing for a moment of relaxation. No wonder that art is more and more often present in the office space.
