The competition is dedicated to architects and architectural studios, whose designs were implemented in the period beginning with 1 January 2011 and ending with 31 December 2013. The buildings must use the aluminum systems by Aluprof.
The aim of the competition is to select the most interesting buildings and thus to promote the latest architectural trends. In the deluge of unoriginal or conservative buildings, good architecture deserves to get recognition, says Tomasz Grela, the president of the management board in Aluprof. Our competition’s aim is to present the most attractive buildings to a wider audience and show that projects of the highest quality, projects at the world level exist in Poland, he explains.
The competition is divided into three stages. In the first one, the organisers will choose 50 projects which will qualify for the second part. Then, a specially-appointed jury will choose 10 best projects from among them. In the final, the jury will choose three best projects.
The authors of the three award-winning project will get attractive cash prizes: 50 000 zloty, 30 000 zloty and 15 000 zloty, respectively for the first, second and third place. The results will be announced in September during a festive Gala. The deadline for submitting buildings to the competition passes on 16 June.
