Penta Investments sold its major office situated in the city center of Prague – Florentinum – to the Chinese investor. It is the second largest transaction on the office real estate market in the Czech Republic this year.

Penta Investments is the Central European investment group, which is an active and long-term investor on the real estate market (also in Poland). The group has recently sold one of its major investments on the office real estate market – Florentinum – on behalf of the CEFC investment group. The value of this transaction has not been revealed yet.

We are satisfied about the interest of investors from different parts of the world. The choice and the negotiation process were very demanding; the Chinese investor – CEFC – outbid the offer of the renowned German investor at the final stage within only several weeks – says Marek Dospiva, Partner of Penta Investments.

Florentinum is an office complex situated in the very heart of Prague. It combines office areas with a trade passage, patio and park. The property offers 63 000 sq. m of leasable space (including 50 000 sq. m of office space and 8000 sq. m of trade space). The building was commissioned in 2014. Additionally, Florentinum was awarded LEED at the Platinum level.

Florentinum is the biggest and the most modern office situtated in the very heart of Prague, which attracts prestigious tenants. The building is a registered office for 70 long-term tenants. Many of them are the so called blue chips: EY, HSBC Bank, Bank of China, Havel Holásek & Partners Law Firm and RSJ Investment Group.

The Florentinum complex constitutes the first stage of the multi-stage project realized by Penta Investments concerning both reconstruction and development of post-industrial areas situated in the neighborhood of the historical Masaryk railway station and transforming them in new business centers of Prague (CBD). (…) We are convinced that perfect design, the uncompromising and highest quality of performance as well as efficient management of design can contribute to the transformation of the old and devastated post-industrial areas into lively public areas in the capitals of the Czech Republic and Slovakia – says David Musil, Senior Project Manager, who is responsible for development, commercialization and sales process of Florentinum.
