The opening ceremony of the TBAI Poland factory has been celebrated in the Special Economic Zone in Nowogrodziec-Wykroty. The company will employ 455 people and will produce frames and seat coverings for the new model of Toyota Yaris. The investment cost over 109 million PLN.
Iwona Krawczyk, the president of the SEZ in Kamienna Góra, informed: This was a very important event for the zone and the whole region. TBAI Poland – 79th investment project, ended before the deadline, overcoming twice and four times the declared values in the investment outlays and new workplaces categories.
TBAI Poland has been created in January 2009 as a result of the cooperation of two companies: Toyota Boshoku Corporation and Aisin Seiki Co. Ltd. The factory in Kamienna Góra is located on a 8 hectare plot and is the first branch of TBAI in the European Union. Poland is developing dynamically despite the crisis. It is a politically and socially stable country, a perfect link between the Eastern and Western Europe. – emphasized Kazuko Shiraishi, the minister and counsellor of the Japanese Embassy in Poland.
