Run to the Top – a charitable event organized for the sixth time in a row – will be held in the Warsaw Rondo 1 skyscraper on 12th March this year. The participants are to reach the 37th floor of one of the most characteristic structures in the capital. The organized event has aroused great interest among Polish runners and it has been appreciated by competitors of the World Cup in climbing up the stairs for years.
More than 500 amateurs have already submitted their application forms to this year's edition and several dozen fire pairs are going to take part in the Polish Firemen Championship in Climbing Up the Stairs. The experienced participants from several countries will struggle for the championship of the Old Continent within Towerrunning European Championships 2016. Moreover, a group composed of nearly 50 people working in companies which rent the area in Rondo 1 will take part in the competition. 4-people-relays of real estate agencies, including representations of CBRE, Colliers International, JLL and Knight Frank, will run for the first time in the event.
We are glad that Rondo 1 – a building that has been a reference point on the Warsaw office market for more than 10 years – is becoming an open arena of passionate and sport competition during the day of Running to the Top. As the owner of Rondo 1, I am pleased to observe how the Run is evolving – not only attracting more and more participants, but also having the highest rank in the environment of runners. Except for the paramount charitable objective, it is also a great occasion for us to present the building to all people who do not visit them every day – says Marek Jakubiak, Head of Real Estate, Central & Eastern Europe, Deutsche Asset Management.
The income from entry fees collected during Running to the Top Rondo 1 will be settled on SOS Children's Villages Association in Poland. The foregoing editions of the event allowed to collect 123 508 zlotys for that noble purpose.
