Engineering Research and Development Center UTC Aerospace Systems in Wrocław was granted the LEED certificate at the Gold level at the end of 2015. FB Antczak from Kalisz was a general contractor of the investment. The realization of the structure on the commission of UTC Aerospace Systems was one of the biggest and the most absorbing enterprises of FB Antczak in the whole history of the company. However, the effort is earning interest right now – the building received an important title “Building of the Year 2014” in June as well as great information about granting the LEED Gold certificate at the end of the year – says Marcin Antczak, Vice-Chairman of FB Antczak.
The ecological LEED certificate is one of the most popular certification systems of buildings which are realized in accordance with the idea of sustainable construction. The assessment of a structure is performed on the basis of meeting standards in the area of e.g. rational management of resources, internal micro-climate or optimal energy consumption.
