Launching of a new program – Go Arctic

The first business mission of native entrepreneurs to Denmark and Greenland started on 7th October and thus the Go Artic program was inaugurated.

The first business mission of native entrepreneurs to Denmark and Greenland started on 7th October and thus the Go Artic program was inaugurated. The mission aimed at promotion of Polish companies in the region functioning in the industry of green technologies, high-tech, innovative solutions in energetics as well as advanced industrial processes will end on 10th December this year.

 

The B2B meetings of native and Danish entrepreneurs will be held during the stay in Denmark. The representatives of Polish companies will participate in consultations with autonomous local authorities in Greenland in such sectors as natural resources, environment, justice, fishing, hunting, agriculture, construction and infrastructure.

 

The Go Arctic program was devised in order to present an investment potential of arctic area to native companies. The Arctic is a special place for entrepreneurs functioning in the sector of green technologies – judges chairman of PAIiIZ Sławomir Majman. It is also a prospective market for innovations, research and development sector as well as Polish high-tech companies – added Majman.

 

There are new numerous opportunities for the usage of e.g. natural resources in the artic region. The launching of a northern route is a great opportunity for Polish investors from the shipyard as well as seafaring industry. Moreover, a great development potential also concerns tourism which has recently increased by more than 40 per cent on the area of Island. A creation of a dialogue platform for Polish and foreign entrepreneurs who invest in the arctic area is also planned within the GoArctic program.

 

Poland has been interested in the Arctic for many years. The Arctic Council was created in 1996 and it includes Island, USA, Russia, Sweden, Canada, Finland, Norway and Dania with their autonomous dependent territories – Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Poland has also a status of a permanent observer in the Council.
