A gigantic investment in Gdańsk

Upon further lecture we learn that on the 31th of December Polnord and the city of Gdańsk signed a contingent contract  regarding the management of the northern cape of Wyspa Spichrzów (Spichrzów Island), one of the most attractive investment sites in Gdańsk.  This surrounded by Motława’s waters 2,6 – a hectare real property is the only vacant land within the Stare Miasto (Old City) borders. Having 51 per cent of shares Polnord is going to he the dominant role in the compay, the rest of the shares will belong to the city.

Such objects as apartments (surface of 25k sqm), a hotel (surface of 10k sqm), office buildings (surface of 10k sqm) as well as the Amber Museum (surface of 7k sqm) are going to be build on the Spichrzów Island, which after the completion of the works will become city’s property. There are in plans 730 parking spaces, including 500 open for general use. The schedule of the project has already been approved by both parties and the competition for urban and architectural concept is going to be held as the first one. The ratification is thought to happen in the second quarter of 2010. ­- adds Gazeta.pl
