It appears that the 160-metre high sky raiser as well as development plans of the city centre of the capital city are not pleasing the councillors.

Twarda Tower at Twarda 2 St is planned to be a luxurious hotel with conference rooms, a restaurant and even Centrum Kultury Żydowskiej (Center for Jewish Culture). Hines, an American developer, have already commenced construction works, which are planned to last to Euro 2012 – as we read in “Życie Warszawy”

Councillors of the city centre are not pleased with the sky raiser’s height, they believe that the building in this area can be of 30 metres at most. However, there are no plans of Twarda St's development, although the study is, which in turn is not legally valid and officials can issue building permits without referring to legal records.

As councillors say, there would be no any dispute, if Town Hall created during last two years a land utilisation plan for Srodmiescie (The city centre). Town Hall refutes allegations, maintaining that during this term of office the pace of works has increased four times, and they treat councillors’ allegations as a prelude to the election campaign.
