Gdynia won the Forbes’ ranking for the most attractive for business large city.
The ranking included cities between 150 000 and 300 00 residents. The city in question have defeated Rzeszow (2nd place) and Torun (3rd place) – as we read on innopomorze.pl.
Data gathered by Centralny Osrodek Informacji Gospodarczej speaks for itself: 315 new companies and the increase rate per 1000 of residents was 1.16. In 2010, 51 firms with foreign capital were registered in Gdynia. Approximately one thousand of companies with the foreign capital are active in the city (which equals to 21 per cent of the overall number of commercial companies in Gdynia).
Pomorski Park Naukowo-Technologiczny, Gdynia (PPNT) is increasingly attractive to investors. Currently there are approximately 100 enterprises from such sectors as IT, electronic and life science. Since the last year, PPNT is undergoing expansion, which in result will lead to 300 new companies beginning their operation in 2012. The value of the investment is estimated at 208 m PLN, of which 137 m PLN will be covered by the EU.
