The management board of Cracow Technology Park issued the first business licence in 2014 for running a business in Cracow Special Economic Zone. The company which received it is Bahlsen Polska sp. z o.o., operating on the international food market. At the same time, it is the 146th licence issued by KTP since its inception, that is, since 1997.
For the Bahlsen Polska company it is the second licence in Kraków Special Economic Zone. The company has committed itself to spend at least 32 million zloty on capital expenditures, and to create 30 new jobs. The company will carry out the project in Skawina subzone. A new production line will be launched in the existing plant.
Bahlsen Poland Sp. z o.o. is a part of Bahlsen group, a company which originates in Germany. The group operates on international food market in the cakes and packaged cakes sector and is the leading supplier of confectionery in Europe.
Cracow Special Economic Zone includes an area of 628 hectares and is managed by Cracow Technology Park. It is located on the areas of Lesser Poland Voivodeship and Subcarpathian Voivodeship, where public aid for investments on the SEZ area is the highest in Poland. Within the Special Economic Zone there are 25 subzones in 23 communes. The investors have greenfield areas at their disposal, as well as office space for rent.
