Stefan Kuryłowicz, Ph.D., was an exceptional architect, who believed in creative cooperation among experts from various fields. Promotion of his ideas is the aim of the Fund. It awards prizes of Stefan Kuryłowicz in two categories – design and theoretical.
The first one is addressed to local governments, public and private institutions, which organize architectural contest. The competition will be carry out within territory of Poland; and it will be devoted to a culture, such as a theater, museum, concert hall, operetta, opera or a library. The prize of 30 000 PLN will be voted for a gratification of the titled competitors. The application, which will include an argumentation of the contest and the project rules adhering to the statutes of Stowarzyszenie Architektów Polskich [eng. Association of Polish Architects], has to be submitted by March 29th of 2014. The winner will be announced in July of 2014.
The Fund has also prepared the theoretical contest, for people who at least have an architectural engineer degree, who is less than 40 years old. The prize of 10 000 PLN is the financing of a bilingual publication in a form of special series. The contestants have to submit unpublished article related to the architectural and cultural field. The application has to be filled out and submitted by June 1st of 2013, whereas the article by June 26th. The winner will be announced in October of 2013 and the public presentation of the article in July of 2014.
