At 10 Pilotów Street in Krakow, Alma Tower is being built. The office building has obtained LEED precertificate – CS 2009 on the highest, platinum level. That means, environmental and energy-saving materials and solutions were applied for its construction. UBM company, the investor, was helped by VvS | Architects & Consultants.
For the sake of convenience of future tenants, all materials used for Alma Tower construction, are environment and a facility user friendly. Such solutions, connected with the access to the natural light, which is offered in the building almost in 100 per cent, will ensure high effectiveness and working convenience, says Andrzej Hyjek, LEED accreditation coordinator in UBM company.
The investment will include about 50 parking spaces for bicycles, coat rooms and showers for bikers. The project predicts the construction of 6 parking spaces for LEV cars. The usage of water has been diminished by 40 per cent, through the use of specialized materials. The energy usage will be lower by 30 per cent, thanks to energy-efficient façade and high-performance lighting in HCAC system. There will also be installed motion detectors and full metering. Alma Tower will emit 30 per cent less of carbon dioxide than traditional facilities.
The Office building will be located near Rondo Młyńskie and Meissner Street. The construction has started in September of 2012 and will last till May of 2014. 14-storey facility will offer 10 000 sqm of class A office space. More than half has already been leased to Alma Market, Inc and its subsidized companies. Solidly constructed and well connected building will be comfortable place of work for subsequent tenants, says MonikaSułdecka-Karaś from Knight Frank agency from Krakow, responsible for project realization. The general contractor of the investment is PORR company.
