Construction works on the expansion of Bayer’s office building have ended on Aleje Jerozolimskie in Warsaw. The expansion project has started in July 2010 and it cost almost 40 million PLN.
Bayer’s seat is functioning as the Management Centre for Central Europe, which includes Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic. Dirk Ehle, President of the Management Board of Bayer Sp. z o.o., said: The investment in Warsaw is an answer to the needs of our company, which has significantly widened its portfolio and, in consequence, employment. We still want to develop our activity in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and keep the leader’s position.
The new building has been constructed with in accordance with the concepts of sustainable development and environmental protection. The concept of the expansion has been prepared by Bayer Technology Services GmbH and the design has been made by aib GmbH from Duisburg in cooperation with K. Ingarden, J. Ewý Architekci from Kraków. The constructions were coordinated by RKW Rhode, Kellermann, Wawrowsky from Warsaw. ERBUD was the general contractor of the construction works.
